General Summary of Duties

The Behavior Analyst is responsible for facilitating and supporting Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) services for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and providing evidence-based behavioral assessments and interventions in collaboration with the consulting psychologist or physician, clinical and direct care staff.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assesses children and adults diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD)
  • Develops individualized behavior intervention plans and treatment programs
  • Trains family on ABA and specific programs
  • Runs social skills groups for children and young adults
  • Prepares materials for implementation of individual treatment programs
  • Coordinates schedules between behavior technicians, individuals, and families
  • Participates in interdisciplinary teams as a part of the Person Centered Plan (PCP)
  • Serves as liaison with staff, school personnel, and other community stakeholders
Education/Experience Requirements

BCBA - Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology or Education. Current BCBA certification through the BACB or meet the qualifications of a Qualified Behavioral Health Professional (QBHP) until BCBA certified by September 30, 2020. Training in Applied Behavior Analysis. One year experience in the examination, evaluation and treatment of children with ASD. Valid driverÔ s license while operating vehicle on agency business.

BCaBA - Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution conferred in a degree program in which the candidate completed a BACB approved course sequence. Current BCaBA certification through the BACB. Training in Applied Behavior Analysis. One year experience in the examination, evaluation and treatment of children with ASD. Valid driverÔ s license while operating vehicle on agency business.

    Don't Be Fooled

    The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
